The State of California canceled funding for the LHS Engineering & Construction Academy - and 2,000 other infrastructure projects statewide - on December 17th as a cost-cutting measure. This prompted Lincoln Unified School District to cease construction on its $6 million career and technical education center at Lincoln High. In addition, the District is looking at a $3 million midyear cut from its general fund that could cripple school programs and prompt layoffs. Many school programs are on the chopping block.
